Alexander Costello
On top of being a very good artist, Costello is very active in curating and promoting the art scene in the East of England. His main platform is 303 Projects, his adventurous gallery in Lowestoft, but he is also involved in many curatorial and other projects.
Alexander Costello (b. 1976, London) is an award-winning sculptor, video and live artist based in Lowestoft, Suffolk, whose work probes and exposes the everyday absurdity of perceived normality. He holds a First-Class BA in Fine Art from Middlesex University (1999) and an MFA from the Slade School of Fine Art (2001), and has undertaken residencies at the British Museum and the Royal Collection at Windsor Castle. A member of the Royal Society of Sculptors (MRSS), he has exhibited at venues including the Ikon Gallery and the London Art Fair. He is the founder and director of 303 Projects in Lowestoft, and teaches art and photography part-time at Cliff Park School, Gorleston.
