Joe Stevens
Joe Stevens is a landscape painter based in Ipswich, Suffolk, who paints in his spare time. He studied art to A-level.
His work is inspired above all by Constable, in particular because the scenes are familiar ones near where he grew up.
He was selected for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in 2026, and exhibits with the Suffolk Art Society, which shows at Lavenham, Long Melford and Bury St Edmunds.
Artist Statement
I like the feeling that a landscape can invoke of a particular time and place, capturing atmosphere and mood. Working with oils and watercolours opens up different ways to express myself.
