Chris Baguley

Chris Baguley is a Suffolk-based fine-art photographer whose work explores landscape, wildlife, nature and the built environment. His photography is characterised by a strong interest in light, colour, atmosphere and detail, ranging from expansive coastal and landscape scenes to intimate studies of wildlife and natural forms.

Working across Suffolk, the wider UK and occasionally other distant locations, Chris creates photographs intended to stand as artworks in their own right rather than simply records of place or subject. Selected works are available as fine-art photographic prints through Baguley Fine Art Photography, including artist-selected presentations on Hahnemühle Photo Rag and Aluminium Dibond.

His developing body of work combines accessible subject matter with a distinctive visual approach, with particular emphasis on images that create presence, atmosphere and lasting interest within contemporary interiors.

Artist Statement

I am drawn to moments where light, colour and atmosphere transform an otherwise familiar subject. My work ranges from landscapes and architecture to wildlife and close-up nature photography, but the common thread is an interest in finding something visually distinctive within a fleeting moment.

I aim to create photographs that hold attention beyond the subject itself — whether through dramatic light, unusual detail, colour relationships or a sense of stillness. I particularly enjoy developing images that work strongly as physical prints, where scale, surface and presentation become part of the finished artwork.
