Theo Gorst

Theo Gorst is a contemporary painter living in East Anglia. His figurative oil paintings depict ambiguous scenes that provoke both tension and release, with his subjects removed from recognisable environments.

Born in 1994, he studied at Goldsmiths College and took an MA at Norwich University of the Arts. He is a member of Outpost Gallery, and designed the official scarves for Great Yarmouth Football Club.

He has had a solo show, Leisure, at Liminal Gallery in Margate, and has exhibited at Snape Maltings in the Britten Pears Summer Contemporary, at PrimeYarc in Great Yarmouth, at St Mary's Works in Norwich, at the Bomb Factory in London, at the Vanner Gallery in Salisbury and at the Juxtapose Art Fair in Aarhus.
