Tessa Frampton

Tessa Frampton is a painter whose atmospheric landscapes describe walks she has made through the Suffolk and Waveney countryside and the marshes, rivers, woods and field edges of Essex and Suffolk, following the changing seasons.

The paintings are mostly worked in oil on gesso board, with some on canvas board, and are grouped in series: rivers and marsh, trees and woods, and hedges and fields. Alongside them she makes hand-made sketchbooks and works on paper.

Her work has been shown in a solo exhibition at the Snape Maltings gallery, and she takes part in Suffolk Open Studios.
