Artist Statement
My work is vivid and often unconventional. Textures and pattern become integral to the composition. I am inspired by nature; the wildlife, the landscape and birds in particular. Quirky has been used to describe my work as I try to find a unique way to describe the familiar. A small sketch, an atmospheric view or a faded memory can all be a starting point.
