Paul Wolterink

Paul Wolterink is a printmaker and graphic designer with a cross-disciplinary approach, living and working in rural West-Norfolk, where he built his print studio in a former Methodist chapel. His limited edition screen prints are graphic-based and often driven by type. Solid, vibrant colour fields in primary and fluorescent hues engage the viewer with what may initially feel like an aesthetic experience, but ultimately unfold into something more profound, as each work reveals its own story.

Paul studied traditional hand type and sign writing in The Netherlands (NIMETO, Utrecht) and graduated from Utrecht School of the Arts with a BA in Graphic Design. As a visiting lecturer he’s taught in graphic design, typography, and type in motion at HKU Utrecht and NUA Norwich. Recent exhibitions include Wighton’26 and Print Cromer in Norfolk.
