Mary B Heller
Mary Heller lives and works in the beautiful countryside of north Suffolk. After more than thirty years as a health professional in the NHS, Mary began to feel that it was time to do something creative as a personal pursuit. Mary still works part-time, but painting has become an increasingly important part of her life.
Artist Statement
My paintings are mostly in oils, but I also use acrylics, pastels and mixed media. I like to work with paint in a loose and colourful way as I try to catch the feel of an image. This can lead to the work becoming almost entirely abstract, or it may turn out to be an impression of the subject. Recently I have been experimenting with collage and the use of writing as part of the art work.
