Brenda Jones
Brenda Jones is a painter based in Colchester, Essex, where she has lived since 1985. She studied for a BA(Hons) at Colchester School of Art and completed an MA at Norwich in 2005-2007. She was a member of Cuckoo Farm Studios for eleven years and now works from a studio at her home in Colchester. A member of Colchester Art Society, she has exhibited frequently in mixed and solo shows.
Artist Statement
I make both figurative and abstract paintings, often including collage and recycled items. I work both large and small scale on canvas, wood and paper and enjoy the diversity of finding new materials and methods.
