Angenita Teekens

Angenita Teekens is an established artist with 30 years of experience in facilitating community art projects. She studied at the Art Academy in Tilburg, the Netherlands, gaining a teaching qualification in Art, Design and Dutch, and later took a Master's degree in Sculptural Practice at the University of Essex. Her own practice revolves around the Blackwater Estuary. As a community artist she has worked with Essex galleries, schools, local community groups and charities. She is convinced that the way forward to a socially just and environmentally sustainable world can be achieved by using creativity to connect people to their communities and natural environment.
