Alison Henry

Alison Henry is a sculptor whose work is rooted in a passion and concern for the natural world and the environment. She has a Diploma in Drawing and Applied Arts from the University of the West of England (2011), and read English Language and Literature at the University of Manchester, graduating in 1982. She has taken master classes and short courses including those led by Etienne Millner, Jon Mulvaney, Jo Naden and Suzie Zamit.

Alison's work has been selected for exhibitions at London's Mall Galleries with the Society of Women Artists and the Royal Society of British Artists, and in 2022 she was shortlisted for the Holt Festival, Charlotte Fraser Ceramics & Glass Prize. Her work is in private collections in the UK and abroad.

Based in Wells-next-the-Sea, she exhibits regularly across Norfolk. Her 2026 exhibitions include WIGHTON26: undercurrent with the North Norfolk Exhibition Project at All Saints Church, Wighton, the Britten Pears Arts 2026 Summer Contemporary Exhibition at Snape Maltings, Fakenham Arts Festival, NR23:26 at Wells Maltings and Ritual on the Bayfield Hall Sculpture Trail. In 2026 her sculpture Swift Drinking was shortlisted for the Mannington Nature Award at the Holt Art Projects Awards.
