Jo Chapman and Hayley Field: THIS 'N' THAT

THIS 'N' THAT brings together the work of Suffolk-based artists Jo Chapman and Hayley Field, exploring their shared interest in colour and composition through drawing, painting and ceramic sculpture.

Hayley Field, who studied Fine Art at Chelsea School of Art in the 1980s, draws on over 30 years of experience in inclusive participatory arts. Her work connects observation, ideas and lived experience, exploring themes of tension, contrast and control. Alongside drawing and painting, she creates installations from modular elements, using reconfiguration to generate new narratives and relationships.

Jo Chapman is a UK-based site-specific artist working across sculpture, drawing, installation and ceramics. Originally trained in Embroidery at Birmingham School of Art, her process-led practice explores place, memory and materiality through research and collaboration. With more than 25 years of experience delivering public art commissions in the UK and internationally, she maintains a strong interest in materials and their role in shaping our environments.
