Artist Statement

Stuart Anderson's sculptures are inspired by the beauty and vitality of the living body, human or animal. How the body occupies and defines the space around it.

The sculptor makes strong sculptural forms which explore the architecture of the pose, with echoing lines and curves to create a visual energy.

The mood and internal life of the sculpture's subject are important - self-contained, confident and powerful.
