Artist Statement

I would like to call myself a ‘Collector of Colour’. Grouping colours of an experience, or memory linked usually to a specific time or location. When you introduce colour and form onto an anonymous surface (in my case, a wooden panel), it will immediately set up a relationship with that space. The more colour additions, the more dynamic. The key is in the balancing act, and the control of the energy contained in each colour, to make the piece succeed.
