Artist Statement
I am a Suffolk based artist mainly working from my imagination. But drawing on outside sources which influence the work. I tend to work quite quickly to establish an image.
Solitary houses, landscapes and a series of expressionist portraits, pencil and pen drawings exploring rhythm and patterns form some of the compositions.
Recently I have been concentrating on more abstract paintings based on the Suffolk landscape and a theme of railways, people and travelling on trains.
I studied life drawing, composition of art, printmaking, book illustration and ceramics at Colchester and Ipswich colleges
