Artist Statement

Being born in Colchester, I have always been keen on its history. After graduating from Winchester School of Art with a BA (hons) Textiles Degree, I began my career as an Artist! We are constantly reminded of our past through buildings, ruins and artefacts that surround our everyday lives. I like to interpret these elements in a new, modern and fun way for the viewer. My commissions range from private, to large public pieces. Two large silk painted tapestries are on display at Braintree Town Hall, and another 3m x 3m tapestry is at County Hall, Chelmsford. I like to work on different textured papers and surfaces, using all sorts of art mediums and processes to create detailed, colourful, pieces of art.
