Land, Sky, Light: New Landscapes by David Dawson

This exhibition presents fifteen recent large-scale paintings by David Dawson (b. 1960) depicting his native countryside in Montgomeryshire, Wales, painted en plein air across the seasons before being completed in his London studio and finished back in the Welsh landscape. Dawson left Wales to study at the Chelsea School of Art and later became a model and assistant to Lucian Freud; these works mark his return to his childhood home to explore the nature and solitude of its surroundings.
