Alexandra Oliver at Gainsborough's House

A fortnight's display of oil paintings by Alexandra Oliver, a Suffolk-based landscape painter whose principal subject is woodland, shown at Gainsborough's House while she works there in residence.

Her paintings grow out of studies made in direct response to the changing light and atmosphere of the landscape, and revisit the British Romantic landscape tradition from a contemporary standpoint.
