Sarah Muir Poland

Sarah Muir Poland is a British expressionist colourist painter with a house and studio in Walberswick, Suffolk, and a member of Walberswick Open Studios. She is known for a distinctive use of colour to capture intimate scenes and vibrant landscapes, and has a large following at home and abroad for her portraits of women and for landscapes drawn from East Anglia and her travels.

Her work examines the relationships between people and objects through saturated colour. She has shown at the Bankside Gallery and the Mall Galleries and in solo exhibitions in London and Suffolk, and was selected for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. The Royal Academy commissioned her work for a figurative notecard wallet sold in its Piccadilly shop and online. She takes private and public commissions.
