Rebecca Reilly
Rebecca Reilly is a self-taught painter and printmaker based in West Bergholt, near Colchester, working in oil and lino. She came to art full time after leaving behind a career in the corporate world, and creates works that radiates with the beauty and wonder she finds in nature, offering a personal invitation to reconnect with its profound, restorative power. Her art is a celebration of the passions we so often lose in the noise of modern life.
Rebecca proves that true passion can bloom at any stage of life, and the greatest leap of all is the one you take for yourself.
Artist Statement
My artwork is all about showcasing my passion and appreciation of how beautiful the natural world is and so my art practice is inspired by nature & wildlife through a mixture of painting & printmaking.
I passionately believe that art is invaluable for our wellbeing and really can be for everyone to enjoy so alongside my art practice, I have developed 'Sip & Squiggle' workshops which is aimed for all abilities to show people first hand how wonderful creativity is for us, particularly in the ever increasing digital world. I offer lino printing, acrylic painting and life drawing classes from various locations around Colchester & Chelmsford as well as my studio in West Bergholt.
