Rebecca Pomroy
Rebecca Pomroy is a Suffolk artist, illustrator and photographer. The paintings centre on the Suffolk coast and countryside: beach huts and sea views at Felixstowe, salt marshes, rivers and big, changing skies.
Rebecca studied Illustration at Norwich University of the Arts, graduating in 2012. Clients since then include Adnams, Walkers Sunbites, Time Out London, Ipswich Borough Council and Winsor & Newton, and Rebecca's work has been exhibited at the London Transport Museum.
Alongside original paintings, Rebecca produces illustration, fine art prints and homeware, takes commissions, and runs painting and printmaking workshops.
Artist Statement
My work combines painting, illustration, colour, and landscape, inspired by the places around me. Living in Suffolk, I'm drawn to the coastline, changing skies, and the wonderfully quirky corners of the county. Colour and photography shape my creative process and often influence the palettes and compositions within my work.
Art has always been central to my life. I have been creative for as long as I can remember, and being dyslexic meant art became an important outlet for me. It gave me a way to think visually, approach ideas differently, and create.
