West Acre Gallery

West Acre Gallery is a community art gallery and exhibition space for hire in a restored flint barn at Abbey Farm, set in the ruins of the 900 year old West Acre priory in west Norfolk. It was launched in April 2019 by its founder Abbey Stirling and was crowdfunded by 40 community investors.

The gallery is a single white space of 5 by 8 metres with skylights, adjustable track spotlights and wood flooring, with a kitchen, wi-fi, parking and wheelchair access. It is hired by the week for exhibitions or by the hour for classes, workshops and events, and artists keep all of their sales. Between exhibitions it runs classes, workshops, art fairs and residencies. It welcomes established and emerging artists working in all mediums, regardless of training, gender, ethnicity or socio-economic background.
