The Red Dot Gallery
The Red Dot Gallery is in the centre of Holt in north Norfolk, just across the High Street from Bakers and Larners. It shows an eclectic mix of original art, exclusive editions, sculpture and ceramics alongside a selection of gifts and cards, over two floors.
In the gallery's own words: "You're quite likely to see dancers from the world of ballet, characters from the plays of Shakespeare, animals and birds from folklore and legend, dogs on beds and off, chickens running and cockerels turning, a pig in a barrow or sheep idling just outside our front door, two floors of colour and creativity."
Red Dot, as in a painting marked sold, was originally in Wandsworth Common in London during the 1990s. It moved to Holt in 2000, and in 2016 moved from one of the town's yards to Fish Hill in the centre. It carries work by around twenty five artists, among them Robert Heindel, Lizzie Riches, Kate Leiper, Rosalind Lyons, Lucy Boydell and Barrie Morris.
