FLARE

FLARE is the first major exhibition by Ruby Bellamy, Kayleigh Brooks and Lily Rolfe since each of them left formal education, presented by Blackfield Creatives at Wisbech Gallery. The show grew out of more than a year of conversations between the three artists about their work, a shared wish to build connections, and the need for time to explore their individual practices.

Bringing together painting, collage and textile work, the exhibition shows how each artist observes and responds to the world around them.

On Thursday 19 November, the three artists will be in the gallery for a Conversation With The Artists, discussing their creative paths so far. The event is open to all and of particular interest to young and emerging artists; further details are to be announced.

On Saturday afternoons during the exhibition, the gallery also hosts Sketch 'n' Social, an informal drop-in session at which visitors are welcome to bring a sketchbook or work in progress and make work alongside the artists.
