Thick Seams

Thick Seams is an exhibition of work by Freya Gabie and Alida Kuzemczak-Sayer at Hungate, the former Church of St Peter Hungate in Norwich.

Freya Gabie works across sculpture, drawing, installation and film. Her practice is site-responsive, taking histories, communities and environments as its starting point, and she has worked collaboratively with people ranging from iron miners and ecologists to clog dancers and opera singers.

Alida Kuzemczak-Sayer is an artist based in Norwich and Great Yarmouth. She holds an MA in Sculpture from the Royal College of Art, and her work comes of bringing a sculptor's mindset to traditional crafts such as letterpress printing.
