Tassie Russell: Fragile Boundaries

1 Aug 2026 – 7 Aug 2026

A solo exhibition of new work by Suffolk-based artist Tassie Russell (b. 1952), a painter, printmaker and photographer who lives and works near Snape and Sweffling. Trained at Kingston and the Royal College of Art, the Slade School of Fine Art, Camberwell (printmaking) and St Martin's (photography), Russell is known for abstract work built on a contained, subdued palette and a considered handling of geometric form and spatial relationships. She works across painting, printmaking and photography, building compositions through solid and transparent layers to create a direct, strong presence on the wall. 'Fragile Boundaries' brings together her abstract paintings - a mix of smaller and larger canvases - shown on the quay at Orford. Her work has been exhibited widely across London and East Anglia and is held in private and public collections.
