Summer at Snape

The Aldeburgh Festival has always had music at its heart, and each summer Snape Maltings complements that programme with an ambitious season of visual art that animates the site and reinforces Snape Maltings’ standing as a leader in art and culture in the East of England. Its centrepiece is Summer Contemporary — a group exhibition staged across a constellation of buildings on the Snape Maltings campus, gathering the work of over 100 established and emerging artists. Around it run further exhibitions and installations by artists including Tracey Emin, Ryan Gander, Kate Giles and Ffiona Lewis, each listed here as a discrete event.
