John Berger From Life: Tom Overton
24 Oct 2026
Tom Overton discusses John Berger: From Life, his new biography of John Berger (1926-2017), in conversation with Emmanuel Iduma, as part of Norwich Book Festival in the centenary year of Berger's birth.
Drawing on personal memories, conversations and archive material not seen before, the biography follows a career that ranged from art criticism to writing on migration and social justice. Books will be on sale after the talk, with a signing by the author.
The talk is one of the events linked to John Berger: A Life of Drawing, the centenary exhibition at Mandell's Gallery.
