'Do You Know What I Watch?' Animal Traces in John Berger's Work

24 Oct 2026

A centenary tribute to John Berger by his son and daughter, Yves Berger and Katya Berger Andreadakis, presented by Norfolk Contemporary Art Society as part of Norwich Book Festival.

Devised by Katya Berger Andreadakis as a choral reading, it follows the animals that recur throughout Berger's work as a writer and visual artist, from insects to clouds, and his lifelong reflection on the relationship between people and nature.

Earlier the same day, Yves and Katya Berger visit Mandell's Gallery to see John Berger: A Life of Drawing and talk with visitors; the exhibition stays open until 6pm so that visitors can see it before the talk.
