MOTION & EMOTION: Adam Docker

A solo exhibition of photographic work by the fine art, documentary and portrait photographer Adam Docker, shown in the Main Hall and The Campbell Gallery.

Docker is based in Gislingham, Suffolk, and has more than twenty-five years behind him, though the work is shaped by journeys through over ninety countries. The pictures take in human stories, intimate moments and landscape, and he works with deliberate movement so that a still photograph carries something of the feeling of the moment rather than only its appearance.

His work has twice won the British Journal of Photography's Portrait of Britain award, in 2021 and 2025, and its Portrait of Humanity award in 2021 and 2023. He was a finalist at the Royal Photographic Society's International Photography Exhibition awards in 2026.
