SMALL WONDERS: Masterworks by Alfred Cohen

This exhibition of 25+ small masterworks complements the Museum's permanent display. It is the third in a series of small exhibitions designed to be available for loan to other venues.

Marking the 25th anniversary of the American artist's death, the exhibition includes landscapes, seascapes, interiors and figures, and represents all five decades of Cohen's career. As Cohen wrote: 'Abundant energy and imagination can be found within the dimensions of a small canvas'.

The exhibition also features the Museum's newest acquisition, the superb 1960 bronze portrait bust of Cohen's friend the actor Anthony Quinn.
