Sophie Giller
Sophie Giller (b. 1992) is an artist based in Norfolk who works across sculpture, textiles, expanded painting and installation. Her work emphasises process, labour, care, domesticity, hierarchies of art mediums, emotion, and the social history of everyday materials.
Giller completed a BA (Hons) in Painting at Camberwell College of Arts in 2014 and an MA in Sculpture at the Royal College of Art in 2021. She was selected for Bloomberg New Contemporaries in 2015 and received the Gilbert Bayes Award for sculpture in 2021. Her exhibitions include shows at the ICA, the Saatchi Gallery and Standpoint Gallery in London, and her recent projects include the touring Port to Port with The Art Station.
