Kirstin Handley

Kirstin Handley is a contemporary mixed-media artist based in Wivenhoe, Essex, where the surrounding woodlands, open skies and the River Colne inspire her distinctive paintings. Deeply connected to nature from an early age, she creates intuitive, expressive artworks that capture the changing light, atmosphere and emotional energy of the landscape. Working from her studio at SPACE Studios in Colchester, Kirstin combines texture, colour and mark-making to produce uplifting paintings that celebrate the restorative power of the natural world. Alongside exhibiting her work throughout the UK, she co-runs Queen Street Art School, sharing her passion for creativity with children and encouraging artistic confidence in the next generation
