Claire Heaton
Claire Heaton is a painter and illustrator based in Colchester, Essex, and a member of Colchester Art Society. She studied at Southend College of Art in the 1980s. She works mainly in acrylics, alongside watercolours and pastels. She has held several solo exhibitions in the region and her work is in private collections in the UK and Europe. She also has a permanent exhibition at Dedham Art and Craft Centre.
Artist Statement
My work reflects my love of nature and particularly the East Anglian countryside. This is a landscape that never fails to inspire me, especially its hedgerows and meadows, which harbour so much life.
