The Old Theatre

The Old Theatre is an exhibition and performance space at Number 10 Church Street in Framlingham, a creative community of studios, gallery rooms and a cafe in the town's old Con Club. The theatre itself was a concert hall in the 1960s and 70s, where David Bowie and The Kinks both played, spent years as an antiques centre, and has since been reunited with the building next door and brought back into use.

It is a large, flexible room used for art exhibitions and installations, workshops and performances, and for readings, music and other gatherings. The theatre is hired by the week, fortnight or longer, and its programme is driven by the artists and groups who book it. The building also holds the Corner Room, hired by the week as an exhibition and pop-up retail space, a print room, and artists' studios.
