Church Street Gallery

Church Street Gallery is an independent contemporary art gallery in the centre of Saffron Walden, owned and run by local artist Daisy Courtauld. Its focus is contemporary painting and original, hand-pulled printmaking - a particular specialism - shown alongside handmade studio ceramics, with a rotating year-round programme of exhibitions and events featuring artists from the local area and further afield. Represented names include the printmakers Angela Harding, James Dodds, Carry Akroyd and Clare Curtis, and the ceramicists Pru Green and Simon Sharp. The gallery champions affordable work by both established and emerging artists, offers a picture-framing service, and can be found opposite the church, halfway down Church Street.
