Benham Gallery

The Benham Gallery is the exhibition space at Cuckoo Farm Studios, the artists' studio community occupying a cluster of former agricultural buildings on the northern edge of Colchester. It is a versatile room with white plywood and plasterboard walls, a vaulted ceiling and spotlights, running roughly 8 metres long by 6 metres deep with a further entrance area, and equipped with plinths for three-dimensional work and power on the front and back baseboards for artists working in digital media.

It runs a regular programme of exhibitions by Cuckoo Farm's studio holders and associate artists, alongside residencies, talks and workshops, and is also available to hire by artists and groups from outside the studios. A kitchen and toilets are in the adjacent barn, and there is parking on site.
