Asylum Studios

Asylum Studios was founded in 1999 to provide affordable artists' studios alongside a gallery space for exhibitions, gigs, talks and film screenings. Run as a cooperative, it is home to around 20 members — painters, musicians, printmakers and filmmakers — with darkroom, printmaking and ceramics facilities. Its programme spans exhibitions, artist residencies, live music, workshops and screenings. The studios occupy a building on the former RAF Bentwaters site near Rendlesham, Suffolk.
