Asylum Studios

Founded in 1999, Asylum Studios offers affordable studio space for artists together with a gallery used for exhibitions, gigs, talks and film screenings. It runs as a cooperative of around 20 members - painters, musicians, printmakers and filmmakers - and is equipped with darkroom, printmaking and ceramics facilities. Exhibitions, artist residencies, live music, workshops and screenings all feature in its programme. The studios are based in a building on the former RAF Bentwaters site near Rendlesham, Suffolk.
