What we did in the Plague: An International Covid-19 Project by Phill Jupitus

4 Jul 2026 – 16 Aug 2026

An exhibition of collage artworks by artist and broadcaster Phill Jupitus, who moved from Essex to Scotland in 2018 to pursue fine art studies and has developed a distinctive collage practice using vintage imagery from mid-20th-century magazines and print media. The works on show were produced during the Covid-19 pandemic, when Jupitus combatted the isolation of lockdown by sending 100 bespoke collaged postcards, or 'colaroids', to friends around the world. Ten of those postcards, along with six that never reached their intended destinations, have returned to The Minories specially for this show, presenting collage as a powerful medium for making sense of contemporary life.
