A performance staged in the woods at Thorington Theatre, produced by The Art Station. A party of travellers crosses a forest and comes out of it robbed of speech, so they must account for themselves using tarot cards, each card giving up a little more of what happened.
The piece runs in three parts and works through narrative, music played live, and images. The artwork is by Noriko Okaku and the costumes by Yoko Brown, the two artists whose exhibition Monday Night opens in Saxmundham in September. Kier Vine composed the score, played by Perhaps Contraption, with solos from Catherine Ring on marimba, Charlotte Jolly on clarinets and Jin Theriault on flutes. Emily Richardson contributes film, and the baritone Rob Gildon draws the audience in.
It lasts roughly an hour and three quarters, with a twenty minute interval, and all ages are welcome.
