The Suffolk Art Society Autumn Exhibition

The autumn exhibition of the Suffolk Art Society, held in St Edmundsbury Cathedral.
The society has up to 110 members, drawn from Suffolk and the neighbouring counties, and the work on show is for sale. Membership is by selection, and the cap on numbers exists so that every member can hang work in every exhibition without a second selection. Vacancies go unfilled when the standard of work is not thought good enough. The society was founded in 1954 and exhibits at least twice a year, at Bury St Edmunds, Lavenham and Long Melford.
