Glimmers - Ruth Lyne & Corinne Peacock
27 Aug 2026 - 2 Sep 2026
Artists Ruth Lyne and Corinne Peacock exhibit together for the first time. The common thread between their work is their love for the natural world and their unique, yet complementary, interpretations of it.
Corinne Peacock is a dual heritage artist, South African and British, and her painting style is naturally influenced by this. She has now lived in Suffolk for nearly 30 years and loves it here. As an acrylic artist she creates botanical-themed paintings in a distinct semi-abstract style. Her paintings are brightly coloured and joyful, characterised by patterns, shapes, mark-making and symbolism. Her paintings are full of energy, movement and vibrancy evoking a myriad of emotions. Themes of love, cycles of life, joy, connection and hope run throughout her paintings.
Ruth Lyne is inspired by the coastal landscapes of East Anglia. Drawn to the sea like many people who grew up in the Midlands, she explores its shifting colours, textures, and wide horizons through abstraction. Her paintings reflect both the vast Suffolk skies and the quiet details found along the shoreline. Since moving to Suffolk in 2020, the coast has become central to her practice, informing a distinctive visual language that expresses the beauty and calm of the landscape.
