Everything Stops for Tea: Sudan Edition

Join us at Noman Studio for a special afternoon bringing together visual art, live music, food, tea and conversation.

Hear Sudanese Oud player Ahmed Allord perform alongside singer Jumana Eltgani. Discover the stories and traditions behind Sudanese food with chef, writer and food archivist Omer Al Tijani. Hear artists Sara Awad and Khalid Shatta discuss art, identity, cultural memory and Sudanese creative practice.

You’ll also be able to view a selection of Sudanese artwork throughout the event, with works available to purchase.

Between the talks and performances, there will be time to eat, drink tea, browse the art, meet people and continue the conversation.
