Buckingham's paintings sit between the seen and the unseen. Her still lifes consider relationships through colour, shape and emotional detail, while her abstracts draw on memory, imagination and place. She has exhibited at Holt Art Projects, East 26 and the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, and her work was selected for the Royal Academy's 2025 calendar.

Karen Byford, an interior designer and ceramicist, throws each piece on the wheel, exploring the limits of clay, texture and colour in surfaces with a painterly quality that sits in conversation with Buckingham's work.
