Local Yokel

Local Yokel brings together artists who have a strong connection to Suffolk: who live and work or grew up locally, and those who now also work internationally. Some of the artists are very established and some have never shown their work before.

The work is diverse in its focus, scale, appearance, approach, materials and techniques. What connects it is that it is inspired by, and emanates from, the local or rural or everyday, and yet becomes universal in its presence, connections and meanings.

The exhibition is spread across The Art Station's two buildings on the high street, 24 High Street, the Old Bank, and 48 High Street, the Telephone Exchange, and in the riverside garden behind 24 High Street.
