Stewart Hearn

Stewart Hearn is a glassmaker and designer working from his studio in Chatteris, in the Cambridgeshire Fens, with a professional practice of thirty years behind him. He graduated from Sunderland Polytechnic in 1986 and founded London Glassworks before moving to Cambridgeshire.

He specialises in bespoke hand-blown glass, using traditional skills to realise contemporary work that demands exacting technical knowledge, and exhibits in many contexts and countries. He won the Gold Medal at the third Hejian Craft Glass Creation and Design International Competition in China. He also works as a consultant on production, bespoke commissioning, contract work and restoration.
