Artist Statement

I believe colour communicates emotion, creates mood and speaks directly to the soul. I develop a personal abstract language drawn from my own experience using the mediums of acrylic painting, mixed media, printmaking and drawing. Using mark-making, texture and line I scratch the surface, wipe away, repaint, traces are left and layers are built up until I am satisfied I cannot go any further.
