Jayne Lloyd
Jayne Lloyd is a documentary photographer based in Colchester. Her quiet observations explore people’s relationships with unique environments and she is particularly interested in recording small details and unusual processes.
With a background in arts and heritage, Jayne works with artists and arts organisations to photograph artworks, exhibition installations, process, events and portraits. Her commissions include Firstsite, The Minories, Historic Royal Palaces, The Goldsmiths' Company and The National Archives and she was awarded Arts Council England funding to support her practice documenting cultural community groups.
Jayne's work has been exhibited at the Charles Dickens Museum, London, and she is currently showing a series of 15 newly commissioned portraits at St Martin-in-the-Fields in Trafalgar Square as part of their 300 year anniversary celebrations.
Jayne's personal practice records confusing or amusing things she encounters as she's going about her day, which she records in her photo journal, trivialmatter.co.uk and makes into zines.
