Edwin Palmer
Edwin (he/him) lives and works in a small village near Wisbech in the heart of the Cambridgeshire fens. Born in 1965, Edwin also volunteers at Wisbech Gallery and is part of the Blackfield Creatives artist network.
Artist Statement
Edwin (Ed) Palmer is an emerging artist primarily involved in creating oil and mixed media paintings exploring dark surrealist and symbolist viewpoints. Recurring themes in his work include reflections on time, memory, mortality, mental health and imagery emerging directly from the subconscious. The work is rarely pre-planned beyond a vague concept and develops intuitively during its creation.
